News and Events - Launch of the Osiris
THE WORLD AWAITS THE LAUNCH OF THE OSIRIS The Osiris prototype is near completion at Premiers R & D Facility in Lowestoft. Once complete the Osiris will enter rigorous testing for all aspects of performance and production of water will be monitored across varied conditions in the controlled heat and humidity environment we have at this facility. SPECIFICALLY DEVELOPED TO ADDRESS THE WORLD’S WATER SHORTAGES, THIS FULLY MOBILE UNIT CAN DISPENSE 1200 LITRES OF WATER PER DAY TO AREAS WHERE IT IS MOST NEEDED The Osiris is an air to water generator, powered by a Cummins diesel generator, mounted and fully integrated onto a double axle heavy duty trailer, capable of being towed on dirt track roads to reach remote settlements. • It will produce, from the humidity in the air, up to 1200 litres of pure fresh drinking water every day. • Has both built in water and diesel tanks. • The diesel tank will enable the machine to run for 7 days on one tankful of fuel. • The water tank will store approximately 900 litres of pure fresh drinking water. • Has 2 service taps • The Osiris components will be contained within an aluminium casing. • The overall size of the machine including trailer is 3 metres long x 1.8 metres wide x 2 metres high. • The total weight is 1.8 tonnes • Based on a diesel cost per litre of one U.S. dollar. The cost per litre of water will be 7 cents.
